ACQUITTED: Brandon Williams, University of Georgia
ATHENS, Ga. -- Brandon Williams, the first of three University of Georgia athletes to go on trial for the alleged gang rape of a former Georgia student, was acquitted on all charges by a Clarke County jury on Sept. 23. Williams, a football player, was charged with rape, aggravated assault and aggravated sexual battery and faced more than ten years in prison if convicted on all charges.
