Some interesting developments from around the country in state government IT:

  • South Carolina signs a portal agreement with NIC.  A webcast from this morning's announce by Jeff Fraser is available online.
  • Arizona moves to outsource its network.  The contract with Accenture will also include replacing old phones with VoIP.  I have suggested that VoIP needs to become an enterprise initiative in the near future here in Utah.
  • A new white paper from Edelman advocates the use of blogs for public relations
