Imagine taking ski lessons from Gold Medalist Picabo Street. Surprise your husband with a professional tool box. Or consider owning an "authentic" forgery from Mark Hofmann. The weird, the wonderful and even the practical can be yours at the "Hearts of Hope" Reception and Silent Auction. Attorney General Mark Shurtleff is hosting the event this Friday to raise money for a stem cell transplant for Jade Pusey, his director of law enforcement.

The Attorney General’s Office and the law enforcement community have been scrambling to raise money for Pusey after he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and his insurance company told him he needed $200,000 for the life saving surgery. Fundraising efforts have brought in more than $140,000; their hope is that the silent auction will help them meet their goal.

Local businesses, fellow employees and even strangers have donated an amazing assortment of goodies ranging in value from $10 to thousands of dollars. Bidders can get sunglasses or a weekend at the Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley. They can get their teeth whitened or purchase a diamond pendant. They can buy a round of golf or front row seats at a Jazz game.

"Whether you bid on an original work of art, plane tickets or a scrapbook kit, here’s your chance to help save a valued law enforcement officer," says Shurtleff.
