During a special session of the Legislature on June 18th, Governor Leavitt shared his report on the Workers Compensation Fund. The report identifies seven core policy issues associated with the fund and then analyzes key questions associated with each of these issues. Each of the explored options are also presented along with implications for the State's future:
- Revert to State Agency
- Maintain Status Quo
- Mutual: with and without tax exempt and carrier of last resort status
- Stock: lose carrier of last resort and tax exempt status
In addition to the Governor's report, a valuation analysis and option analysis are available.
