Interesting article at The Register: Google buys search engine - PageRank(tm) RIP? that claims PageRank is broken because so many search engine optimizers have gamed the Google system to the point where PageRank is no longer effective.

Some people claim this article is full of wild conclusions. However I see people all the time publicly stating that they are trying to game the Google system. As a frequent user of several search engines, I don't want a list of gamed results for a search term, I want the equivalent of searching through a library for a book. You never see library books' covers suddenly revise themselves to match your search topic in an attempt to gain your attention.

Purpose
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
