A new book on panoramas "Digitale Panoramen", has been published by Springer-Verlag (Berlin-Heidelberg-New York).
The book covers the different ways to produce digital panoramic views,
cylindrical and spherical/cubic panoramas. Furthermore, there is
information about creating virtual walks and object movies. The book
comes with a CD, so that readers can view the panoramas that are shown
in the book and check out trial versions of several software products
for stitching and viewing.
The book is written in German. You can find more information including
a table of contents and example panoramas from the book workshop at:

Purpose |
VRlog provides news, developments and analysis of the virtual reality (VR) world from a nature photographer's perspective. Since I am not connected to or funded by any VR vendor, I intend to objectively appraise what's going on, and the direction VR is headed in. -- erik goetze
