Living the gospels
This has pertinence today. Jesus taught us that, if a man should strike us, we should "turn the other cheek" to him.
But we have only one other cheek.
(Those who are about to hit the comment link to retort, "No, we have three", can stop.)

"Perfusion"
In my experience, 95% of court reporters, regardless of experience level, will mistranscribe this key term (which means blood flow to an organ) as "profusion".

"Consistent with"
In any personal injury lawsuit, watch out for this phrase.
Q What were the signs and symptoms you observed? A He had fever, somnolence, and a remarkably elevated white blood count. Q Is that consistent with septic shock?
The opposing lawyer should immediately object. These probably are consistent with septic shock, but they are also consistent with retinal detachment, metatarsal fracture, and St. Vitus's dance. The issue is whether they are diagnostic of or suggestive of septic shock, not whether they are consistent with that condition.
