Racing In the Streets: Followup
Random numbers: Millions of dollars; tens of thousands of attendees; 150 miles per hour; 126 decibels of sound; 117 drivers; a 95 degree heat index; 76 racecars; 74% humidity; 65 seconds per lap (for CART); 36DDs in halter tops (this is Miami, baby); 35 dollar tickets (and up); 16 turns; 8 mph winds (we needed more of this natural air conditioning); 6 classes of racing; 5 grandstands; 4 types of lemonade; 3 days of events; 2 concerts; 1.387 miles of track; 1 official bleached blonde; no coffee vendors (I settled for Coke).
Click here for my full (fairly lengthy!) Grand Prix Americas post-race story. Executive summary: cheers for the event and the park, jeers for Tony Kanaan and CBS.

My blogging habits are still developing. For example, I should have blogrolled Paul's photos of Mount Baker when I first saw them. I especially liked this image, which I described at the time as being of "postcard quality." (Note: the images are rather large.)
