Ups & Downs
I finally took possession of a VG-88 tonight and got around to installing the GK-2A divided pickup, which I was going to do about a week ago. Ahem. So anyway, I got everything set up and plugged in and... where's the manual?! There was no manual in the box, meaning that I couldn't perform a calibration step that is so important, there is a special, one-page insert in the box instructing you to do it first.
Would the 'net save me? I checked the Roland website to no avail: Roland does not make Product Manuals available electronically at this time. But I found an online manual for the Roland VG-8 (thanks to Google, George Pootnik and VG-8.com), the previous model; it should suffice for the calibration process. Tomorrow I'll attempt that, and you know I'll be calling the folks at Guitar Center about the missing manual.
