Subhonkers and UserLand History

Some [subhonkers](http://scriptingnews.userland.com/backissues/2001/11/02#lb17e0be64f58558f966a567cc6e36939) showed up on my doorstep yesterday. Good old machines from the UserLand of the past: subhonker5 and subhonker6. We'll be setting them up as testing and development machines.

Anyone know any great stories behind these? [Lawrence Lee](http://www.tomalak.org/) passed along that sh5 was the server that did UserLand hosted free Manila sites and sh6 was the first Radio Community Server.

Both are great links to the past of weblogging, still serving their masters. I'll make sure they are safe and fed healthy diet of UserLand software.

Andy's Markdown Progress

[Andy](http://radio.weblogs.com/0001017/2005/02/15.html#a405) posts a progress report on his Markdown tool.

[Jeremy](http://jeremy.zawodny.com/blog/archives/004256.html) says Technorati is having a weblog spam summit. We're trying to get someone there. As the users, what should we be saying on your behalf?
