It is not by the consolidation, or concentration, of powers, but by their distribution that good government is effected. - Thomas Jefferson  Tuesday, November 19, 2002 Fireworks Okay.  Had my nap and got up at 5AM to watch the Leonids put on quite a show.  From 5:10 to 5:40 I counted 90 "shooting stars" and two satellites despite a full moon and city lights.  My previous record was 30 in an hour during a Perseids shower when I was about ten years old.  The high point came at 5:30 when my count went from 60 to 75 in just over a minute and included one bolide, or exploding meteor, that must have been three or four times brighter than Venus ever gets.   sez Doug Murray 8:02:41 AM   sez you [] Copyright 2002 © Doug Murray
