I am sick of Professional Sports - here's 3 reasons.
1) The baseball players. My father was a union electrician and then a union contractor. We always dealt with union people and hired union workers. For the overpaid, spoiled brats playing pro baseball to fall back on the "we are sticking with our union" is an insult to every legitimate man and woman who has ever been in a real union.
I was hoping for a strike this year - not just because the Tribe has given up for a few years but to fix the game once and for all. This latest bandaid fix and contract won't save the game.
2) NBA basketball. How embarrasing for the NBA's latest Dream Team to get smoked in the International Tournament - coming in 6th place! Their selfish play, cheap shots and taunting were an obvious contrast to the teamwork and class of Yugoslavia, New Zealand, Argentina and the others.
3) Dwayne Rudd - what can I say? At least he could have stood up like a man and said I blew it, apologize to the team and fans and promise to make up for it. But he didn't even take responsibility for single-handedly costing us the game.
I know that the defense was terrible but his one stupid act literally cost us the game. Disgusting.
