Went to the Itec show at the IX Center yesterday.  It seems to get smaller every year - and it gets dwarfed in the huge IX Center.  Could have been at the Convention Center very easily.

Nothing special on the show floor but there were some interesting presentations.  The Linux Primer at the NEOSA meeting was pretty much what you'd expect - Linux good, Bill Gates evil.  A little balance was brought out in the Q&A but not much.

The best was a panel of CWRU CIO Lev Gonick (there's that name again!), Jim Sage CIO of Pioneer Standard and Dave Pressel , the CIO of Nine Sigma.  Gonick and Sage rocked - it's very inspiring to see guys like this taking charge in the local tech world.  Remember Lev Gonick's name - you are going to hear a  lot of great things about this guy.  What a steal to get him from LA.
