Blah Blah Blogs (revisited)
Slowly but surely people are catching on to Blogs. Computerworld recently had a piece on the role of Blogs in Homeland Security.
Most of the blogs I’ve seen seem to be valentines that the authors send to themselves. Who cares! But some are great reading and you get info that doesn’t really have a place anywhere else. Blogs allow people who can’t even spell HTML to get their stuff on the web.
Now even journalists are catching on (albeit a year after techies began blogging). Check out a special meeting of the Cleveland Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists at Flannerys Thursday May 29 at 6PM. $10 gets you in and some appetizers. Another fin will get you a pint of Guinness or Harp. Learn more and register at http://cleveland.association.org/
From the list of speakers it looks to be geared to the newbie and journalist (redundant?) but it’s a good crew led by old pal John Ettorre.
I’ll be at my sand volleyball game (we are 4-2 so far this season) so will miss the gig unless the weatherman does his part and we get cancelled.
