Bur-Mil pool only one year off... Could have been the weather but our county has made it official to the public that the new Bur-Mil Family Aquatic Center will not be completed in time to enjoy this year's swimming season as originally promised. That's unfortunate for county swimmers this summer since our Parks and Rec Department did promptly meet its promise to fill in the old Bur-Mil pool with dirt and overplant it with grass...proving that our county government is in some cases capable of filling holes faster than they can dig them. . A real business of course probably could not afford to miss out on a year's worth of revenues. But, as our County will probably lose money running the new pool as it did with the old pool, this one-year delay may actually save the taxpayers of Guilford County money. 9:19:30 PM
