Almost asleep with the fishes I'm back. And no I did not seize my chest on Krispy Kremes.
I came very close to resurrecting my blog a week ago last Sunday but thought the timing might be considered sacrilegious. Alas, yet another week has rolled by though and only now I finally write --- out of fear.
Yesterday, the political blogfather of Greensboro ed cone sent me my morning blogroll with a fish wrapped inside. It's an extremely successful motivational technique his wife probably taught him that is recognized by all Italians (still living) and those who do business with them. So, here I am mortified back into action knowing that it is only by the grace of the Don that I have not been de-blogrolled. (My ethnic background also tells me that there is never a third chance.)
What the heck have I been doing anyway for almost two months that I should have been so absent from the blogosphere? ---Face time with anybody and everybody interested in learning about the stealth operation to dissolve our country into the Americas version of the EU known as the FTAA. (see that logo in the right column). Here is a brief recap of the situation as published in the Greensboro Rhino Times last Thursday. (7th letter down.)
The heavy lifting of racing around two states is done now. With others properly activated, I can take a breath at the end of this week. Tomorrow is a info meeting with Virginia Foxx in Raleigh who is running to replace Senate hopeful Richard Burr in the 5th district in the US Congress. (Hint: she is a more experienced candidate than Vernon Robinson who still is patiently sitting on all the money he has raised.) Then, this Thursday and Friday we have STOP the FTAA speeches from Dr. Steve Bonta of Robert Welch University. Thursday is 7:30pm in Greensboro - Ramada Inn I-40 exit 210. (Furniture week bumped us from a return to the Embassy Suites, but I am told the newly remodeled Ramada is looking sharp.) Friday is 7:45pm in Charlotte - Holiday Inn Hwy 51 South I-485 Pineville Exit. And did I forget, local furniture retailer and FTAA savant Thomas Kester, Jr. will be on the Dusty Dunn show Thursday morning 9:30 to talk about the FTAA, while Dr. Bonta will be on the Keith Larson show on WBT in Charlotte later that morning at 11:30am.
After that there is the North Carolina State Convention of the Libertarian Party in Durham on Saturday (Friday too.)
More later. Blogging should get back on pace as I launch my campaign for Guilford County Commissioner 7th district.
