May Day in Europe

Well, Europeans are sleeping quietly tonight after adding 10 countries to the current 15 in the EU.  The new EU Constitution is just around the corner.

Back here on the homeland front, we need to Stop the FTAA if we don't want the USA to end up as just one of many countries in the Americas version of the EU.  A vote on the FTAA in Congress could happen as early as this coming January.  Like the destruction of our county political boarders through the regionalization process (which creates non-elected supragovernmental authorities over a hapless electorate), the same is underway for country boarders.

If you are wondering what new Constitution you might be living under within the next decade, it is worth reading the draft version of the one on the table at the EU.  The draft version of the FTAA is also worth a read.  It does yet seek a political merger.  Phase I only turns over the law making authority of Congress to the FTAA in three areas: labor law, environmental law and trade law.
