SWAT Team coming to a church near you

Lots of law enforcement in churches today. My family really enjoyed tonight's Simpson's show. Here a review of what we ourselves had experienced earlier in the day plagiarized from my post on Lex Alexander's blog:

Visited Zion Baptist Church in Reidsville this morning as our family is apt to do about once a month. What a blessing to have made it for their 3rd annual "thank you" to law enforcement, fire personnel, EMTs and other heroes --- where county sheriff deputies, city police and state troopers fill the seats behind the pulpit usually occupied by the choir. The cross section of special visitors meant we were not the only non African Americans in attendance.

Introduced by Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page, the "message" was delivered by Harland Costner, US Marshall for the Middle District of North Carolina.

No real politicking today though, the recommended ballot choices won't be handed out until the Sunday service before the primary.

Back to the Simpson's show: Kudos to the scriptwriter who recognized inadvertently or not that Charlotte's cutting edge commitment to running the Charlotte region through public-private partnerships (i.e. fascism) warrants a stick in the eye as, "Hitler City, North Carolina."
