Guilford County Council of Mayors

The Mayors are sponsoring a Candidate Forum for County Commissioner candidates on Wednesday, September 15 at 6:30pm at the Greensboro Regional Realtor Association 23 Oak Branch Drive. (In Greensboro just off West Wendover Avenue and Clifton Road) District candidates such as myself start around 7:30pm.

The GCCM has no letterhead. My summons came on a plain white page without a signature or contact name; only a mysterious Summerfield phone number, which I believe rings into the headquarters of Guilford County's shadow government: 643-0493.

Blog Anniversery

If you are one of the few who may have noticed there appear to be some back dated posted on the blog, this is becuase it took me three days to figure out that the reason my posts where not upstreaming to the real world in the radioland clouds was that I had forgot to renew my blog membership, which expired on September 6th.

I am not big on birthday's but yes, the blog turned two last week.

Another new law to protect us

"An international labour standard designed to create a new biometric identity verification system for the world's 1.2 million maritime workers has received sufficient ratifications to go into force in February 2005."

"Received sufficient ratifications to go into force," is international lawspeak meaning that some arbitrary number of nations was chosen and now have legitimized this new law for the entire planet. In this case the number of ratifying nations required "to go into force" was two - the maritime powers of France and Jordan.
