Personal Debate Trapped in the NC mountains tonight near the TN and VA border in the area known as Foxx Country. No local dial up connection and no cell phone coverage. A desperate situation I turned to the cable TV in my room at Nation's Inn in West Jefferson. It was a real struggle trying to decide whether to go with the Bush-Kerry debate or the Benny Hinn* show. I think Bush won the first seven minutes of the debate. Kerry opened by rambling on and ignoring the very first question put to him. Bush on the other hand, came out and swinging and with absolutely no hesitation in his delivery took on challenging word "vociferously" and pronouced it correctly. It's sad. But, yes I was impressed. From there I started switching back and forth with Benny Hinn and started to loose track who was promising me more if I would just have faith. I did note that Senator Kerry must be pro-death penalty as he was making comments like, "I will hunt down and kill the terrorists," and "The goal is to find Osama bin Laden and go kill him." I'm seeing this picture of Senator Kerry in his camo holding his duck rifle, a golden lab at his side as he fights through the stubbled brush around the valleys of Tora Bora. That was a good jab about "outsourcing the job" of finding bin Laden. Wouldn't it be nice if Senator Kerry would have pleased his Union supporters by following that up with a promise to vote down CAFTA, which may come up for a vote in the upcoming lame duck session. Come on, where's your duck rifle John? Bush was rather helpless after those first 7 minutes and not worth picking on. As he honestly pointed out, we already know where he stands. As for Kerry, he is going to have to appoint Benny Hinn to his cabinet and pray his way towards covering the costs on his 100 day Plan for America, which I might add, Kerry's banging on a Bush draft plan notwithstanding, includes a call for one year of mandatory service to the state for all high school kids as a requirement of graduation. If the debate over whether the form of totalitarianism (benevolent of course) that we should live under should be modeled upon communism rather than fascism does not excite you, I suggest you vote Badnarik instead. This is the presidential candidate who was not invited to the debate that would have cleaned the clocks on both of these pretenders. *How many people tune in to this guy and think for a moment that they are perhaps watching a parody created by Benny Hill? 11:48:22 PM![]() |
