John Doe #1 and Al Qur'an at UNC Got to present the FTAA and limited government message to a few dozen students at UNC Chapel Hill today. Tough crowd, but who knows. I did learn that my student host and JBS member at UNC Kris Wampler was John Doe #1 in the lawsuit two years against UNC making a course on Al Qur'an mandatory. The three John Doe's who were plaintiffs have kept their identity under wraps. Last week however, a reporter at the Sun Journal thought it might be time to find out who the student plaintiffs were. He had the idea to ask around at the "conservative" Pope Center on campus to see if they could give him any leads. Sharp reporter there. Not only could they help him, they simply had to direct him down the hall to Kris Wampler who has recently taken a job with the Pope Center. Kris who is an evangelical Christian, was John Doe #1 in the case and conceeded to the reporter's request for a story which appeared in last Friday afternoon's print version of the Sun Journal. Kris himself recently found out who John Doe #2 was in the case, a young man who is a Catholic, but he had no authority to pass this name on to the reporter. Jane Doe #1, a young woman who is Jewish remains a mystery for now. 11:42:45 PM![]() |
From NC Rumors: God helps those who pledge to defeat the FTAA. Howard Coble helps others. (something wrong with that picture there.) 11:37:33 PM![]() |
