Bush in NC to speak on CAFTA In case you ever doubted that NC was ground zero in the CAFTA fight, I am sure you have seen the news reports by now that the President is making yet another damage control trip to NC to try and save the butt of his adminstration on yet another issue. Certainly, Robin Hayes, Bob Etheridge and possibly David Price are in line to pull a Richard Burr but as of today, out of 19 congressmen in North and South Carolina only Sue Myrick has come out for CAFTA. Is it any wonder then that President Bush is being sent to the Charlotte area by his handlers to give a speech to prop up the dying CAFTA agreement? I am working my way up from Columbia tomorrow to set up our command post in Chartlotte. 8:57:33 PM![]() |
