Fit for Governor?

Maybe yes, maybe no.  Sue Myrick, considering a run for governor, has obviously read neither the CAFTA agreement nor the orders of magnitude smaller US Constitution:

"The majority of the textile people in my district are supporting CAFTA and so are most of the employers," she said. "The reason I agreed to support it was because the companies that have most of the manufacturing jobs asked me to do it. I told them I would follow their request."

STOP CAFTA effort continues to grow

Burlington business owner Nim Harris got some pub today in the News and Record for the Vote No on CAFTA billboard campaign he has helped organize.

The pro-CAFTA N&R did (shock) manage to work in a free full size advertisement in the print edition for a pro-CAFTA group, but STOP CAFTA forces received equal or better placement of their message in the on-line edition.

Appreciated seeing Donald Patterson honoring his promise to make sure that Virginia Foxx and her firm NO on CAFTA would be included on any future articles that listed the CAFTA positions of "Piedmont area" Congressmen.

Full disclosure statement:  Yeah, I helped some on the billboards.  Ought to be one going up today in a choice downtown Greensboro location.
