Hot Air to be debated in General Asssembly

The argument that man causes hot air will be debunked in of all places the North Carolina General Assembly.  Don't expect CBS news to be there for coverage.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 

A press conference will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at 9:30am in the General Assembly Press Room with Dr. Robert C. Balling.  Dr. Balling is a Professor in the climatology program at Arizona State University and will be addressing the Legislative Commission on Global Climate Change at its 10:00am meeting on March 7 in Room 643 of the Legislative Office Building. 

Dr. Balling has been studying the Earthfs climate for over two decades and published several books on the subject.  He has also served as a consultant to climate issues for many international groups including the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.  He is best known for his scientific conclusions which bring into question many of the arguments supporting a significant anthropogenic cause to global warming. 

Sen. Robert Pittenger with be introducing Dr. Balling followed by a time for questions by the press.  Sen. Pittenger was quoted as saying gI am looking forward to Dr. Ballingfs presentation to the Legislative Commission on Global Climate Change which will allow members to hear from a respected specialist who raises legitimate questions on the impact of humans on climate change.  His findings, which often contradict what the public hears in the media, will be an important factor in any recommendations the Commission makes.h
