Tripartite Division of Form Continuing with our analysis of physical attributes people use to designate an object special.... We looked at how Symmetry is used, and what it might mean. Next on our list is the Tripartite Division of Form. Many objects that refer to the special (sacred, holy, venerated, etc...) have a distinct base, middle, and top. As we noted over the last couple of days with symmetry, this may also be a reference to the human body (feet, trunk, head) and allow for a similar feeling of familiarity.
