The Thursday Threesome — Thanksgiving
Onesome: Envision - How much television do you watch each week? Are you one of those who can you call up the nightly program schedules for the major networks (and a cable channel or two) in your head? ...or do you have to search the paper to find out when the Thanksgiving Day parade is? (Hint: It's on a Thursday.)
I have the tv on pretty much all the time when I'm home and awake. Don't always pay that much attention to it though. It's mostly just to hear human voices—I live alone and am home by myself way more than I prefer to be—and to drown out the neighbors' noise. (Music just doesn't cut it for me if I want to get any work done. Yeah, I'm weird.)
Twosome: Whirled - Oh, my! That holiday stuff is coming up soon! Are you ready for Thanksgiving? ...or are you going to be whirling around at the last minute?
I pretty much don't do Thanksgiving these days—too many family fights then as I was growing up. (Though it was more fun—and saner—when my grandparents were still alive since Thanksgiving was also our family birthday party for the two of them. Their birthdays were just two days apart on the 24th and the 26th. We'd put candles on the pumpkin pie.) With my son in Iowa now I don't even have my teeny tiny family here to share a turkey with. Haven't decided yet if I'll actually go to one of the dinners I've been invited to. I do have one friend who always drops off a big plate of turkey dinner here for me—that I'm ready for!
Threesome: Peas - Shine on the the healthy stuff; we really don't care if you eat your vegetables (okay, the mom's here on the Porch do <g>): what are you looking forward to eating on Thanksgiving that you just cannot get the rest of the year?
Food that other people cooked! (Love to eat, not so thrilled about the cooking part.)
