TAMPA TINO: The Cardinals and Devil Rays are close to a salary-dump trade that would send ex-Yankee Tino Martinez from St. Louis to his hometown of Tampa, according to an AL official. Martinez has been a disappointment after signing a three-year deal worth $21 million before the 2002 season. The Cards, the official said, would pick up most of Martinez's $7.5 million salary next season and receive a marginal pitching prospect in return.
