I Don't Need This...
My monitor, which had been showing more and more reluctance to actually turn itself on, finally gave up the ghost yesterday morning. With no budget to shop for a new monitor right now, we asked a friend if we could use the old one that's been sitting in their garage gathering dust. While it's clearly old and very hard on the eyes, at least the computer is usable again. A new monitor will definitely have to be crammed into the budget as soon as possible, though. (I don't need the eye-strain headaches this one is giving me!)
Of course, about an hour after we got the "new" monitor connected yesterday afternoon, our broadband connection went kaplooey again. And is still out. And apparently it's just us, not a neighborhood outage. So, I'm back on dialup until the technician from Comcast puts in an appearance this afternoon. Sigh...
