TAKING MY LUMPS Any shot I had at the Trifecta was lost at the start when Indian Express got in trouble pinched right away coming out of the gate, ending up finishing 14th out of 16 entries. It didn’t help that Empire Maker had trouble getting into the stall burning up energy that would’ve come in handy for his final kick. Peace Rules led from the back stretch almost to the turn when overtaken by Funny Cide who just had too much for either Frankel horse.   Scrimshaw? Don’t ask. Peace Maker did salvage some of the day by paying $6.00 to show.   Damn horses. Stupid unreliable animals. Serves me right. And now it’s time for . . .
