More problems with iCal sync... calling the built-in functions doesn't work because they return immediately, before they're actually saved, with no way for me to add more info to them programatically. So I have to populate the fields manually. Because of the incredible complexity involved in wrapping my framework around records that could move from one soup to another based on their status, I'm cheating and circumventing my plug-in framework, writing functions into the app itself to handle dates.
