Looks like I'll be staffing an Apple booth at Macworld the evening of January 8. Every time I man a booth at a conference I'm awake all night fearing that I won't know the answers to people's questions and will seem incompetent. And every time I end up worrying for nothing. Hopefully this year I have the confidence to forgo the stress altogether.

Phones seen driving Bluetooth adoption. I'm hoping that eventually there'll be a better Bluetooth-enabled, Jaguar Compatible phone than the t68i. A friend of mine bought one and lost his enthusiasm quickly, and I can see why. Its UI is painfully slow, and it has two bright-enough-to-be-seen-from-space LEDs that blink constantly in order to notify the user that things are working correctly. It reminds me of that Simpsons episode where Homer invented the "everything's OK" alarm. "THIS WILL SOUND EVERY 3 SECONDS UNLESS SOMETHING ISN'T OK." [InfoWorld: Top News]
