I had a good walk this morning with Chuck Murcko, a new Sedona resident.

Chuck works for IBM and codes on the Apache httpd project and the Jakarata projects. Since I live in a very small town in a fairly isolated area, it is great to meet someone with similar technical interests!

About my information appliance product/project: I am still trying to decide which tools to use, but I think that I am going to write the (first) client as a native Mac OS X Cocoa application and do all of the server side stuff using VisualWorks Smalltalk. I will worry about supporting Windows and Linux clients later...

I was looking at the Mac OS X Sherlock SDK examples yesterday - using Sherlock itself as a client for SOAP enabled web services looks very interesting.
