Columbia professor Nicholas De Genova is an idiot
This is the guy who publically stated that he hopes that U.S. troups in Iraq face "a million Mogadishus".
Don't get me wrong, I believe that he has the right to free speech - but I also get to call him an idiot (my free speech :-).
I believe that more than 99% of Americans support our troups (if not more). Genova is just one of the rare whackos.
I have only the harshest of thoughts concerning the right wing advisors to President Bush - they lied to the public to get us into this war on false premises (just my opinion). However, nuts like Genova hurt the efforts of rational people who feel that it is in our countries interests to discuss (and to continue discussing) why we got into this war, how will Iraq be ruled after we win, will we continue 'handling' other countries after Iraq, what effect will the right wing political agendas have on the economic situations of average Americans (remember: historically the times of great economic depression are when the super-rich really increase their wealth.).
