The networked organization

Jon Udell (who, incidentally, gave the keynote at the first Zope conference) wrote a piece today about "Applied Network Theory". It is an interesting read, and he's a wonderful writer.

The part at the end is relevant to discussions with several of the Zope companies here. Jon quotes an article which discusses Hollywood's move "from an industry of classic, huge, vertically integrated corporations into the world's best example of a network economy". There is a desire among some of the Zope companies to band together to pursue contracts they can't get alone. Enlightened self-interest.
