"Hillary Rodham Clinton called Tuesday for tougher punishment against Syria, saying the country was aggressively supporting terrorism in the 'dangerous neighborhood' of the Middle East."
Syria has just delivered Saddam's half-brother. Syria is pulling back its troops from Lebanon. So what is the problem? This whole story of the murder of former PM Hariri seems to me like a concerted effort by Israel and the US to further destabilise the region (they call that 'stabilising'). Why do I think that? I don't have proof. But neither has anyone presented proof that Syria was responsible for the murder. It all just fits in the recent pattern of organised 'civilian revolt', as we have seen in Georgia, the Ukraine and now Syria. It is organised, flags are provided free of charge, the whole works.
See also here and here (the strategy was set long ago).
The Clintons are now fraternising with the Bushes. Bill is travelling around with pop Bush and Hillary supports young master George. They have so much in common, the pot smoking, the draft dodging, the greed (or should I say 'lust'?). And they all like war.

Why do human beings, knowing the costs of war, cling to it nonetheless? Is the human race a bunch of war criminals and hypocrites (we do it for peace, naturally)? Of course not. The American citizens do not want war, they are captured by the propaganda of those greedy with power, who tell them it is in their own interests. People are ready to believe any fairy story. Keep them dumb and don't give them time to think. Those in power don't go to war. They want you.
And when they are done with you, they throw you on the street.
"Veterans account for nearly one-third of all homeless men in America, even though the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs says they comprise only 13 percent of adult males in the general population."

"In his statements, Halutz faithfully represents the policy in recent years of the air force and the Israel Defense Forces, which no longer has a place for moral statements in our war on terror. According to this policy, dropping heavy bombs on a house is a legitimate and just means, and killing innocent civilians, including children, does not at all resemble Palestinian terror.
Now belligerence and arrogance will speak, not only in the field, but in the chief of staff's office."
Do we learn from history? No. History repeats itself. We wait for total catastrophe and think that God is on our side. Well, we know he isn't, but those in power have to give a justification intended for your ears. They get away with torture and murder, as long as you allow this to happen.

"Paul Wolfowitz, US deputy secretary of defence, has emerged as a leading candidate to replace James Wolfensohn as the president of the World Bank."
How more symbolic can it get? Wolfowitz is one of the major ideologues of the Bush regime, a hawk; now he is put forward as a candidate for president of the World Bank. American militarism is taking over the world. The project is doomed, of course. The 1000-year Nazi Reich did not last long. The American Empire won't last long. It is based on destruction and war. "For all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."
