KLASTV: "A huge test explosion was set to take place next month, 90 miles north of Las Vegas. But the project was pushed back and finally indefinitely postponed. Sunday, opponents celebrated.
Last week the National Nuclear Safety Administration decided to indefinitely postpone the blast because of questions about possible fallout from the experiment."

Let's hope Divine Strake is abandoned completely. There is nothing 'divine' about destruction.

Update:
FAS: "In a surprising move, the National Nuclear Security Administration last week withdrew (!) its Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) for Divine Strake, a document issued in April that declared that a planned detonation of 700 tons of chemical explosives at the Nevada Test Site 'would not result in the suspension or dispersion of radioactive materials or human exposure to radioactive materials'.
The question therefore is: Does this mean that Divine Strake could result in the suspension or dispersion of radioactive materials or human exposure to radioactive materials? And do other assurances about the test need to be reassessed?"

Yahoo: "The European Union's highest court ruled Tuesday that an EU-U.S. passenger data deal was illegal, saying it did not provide adequate privacy protection for European travelers.
The trans-Atlantic agreement compels European airlines to turn over 34 pieces of information about each passenger - including name, address and credit card details - within 15 minutes of departure for the United States.

Washington argues that the information is vital to combat terrorism, and warned that airlines would face fines and a loss of landing rights if they did not comply.
The European Court of Justice in Luxembourg, however, found that the data would not be adequately protected by the U.S., and overruled a previous EU finding."

The US wants full cooperation with its own snooping, but does not cooperate to combat crime and in particular nuclear trafficking. Maybe the US government is itself involved in the trafficking.
SwissInfo: "A Swiss investigation into an international nuclear smuggling network is being hampered by a lack of cooperation from the United States.
Authorities in Bern say they asked US officials for judicial assistance a year ago but have yet to receive a reply."

And what has the US military to do with spraying agricultural crops?
DefenseLink: "Operation Barnstormer, part of the Iraqi Agriculture Ministry's program to protect key staple crops from insect damage, wrapped up yesterday with a final day of aerial spraying in the northern Iraqi province of Dahuk, Task Force Band of Brothers officials reported.
In the provinces where Task Force Band of Brothers is located, more than 310 square miles of wheat fields and date palm groves were sprayed with pesticide."
Seems like a militarization of agriculture. They'd better turn those soldiers into farmers.
