Jim's Pond - Exploring the Universe of Ideas
"Beware when the great God lets loose a thinker on this planet. Then all things are at risk. It is as when a conflagration has broken out in a great city, and no man knows what is safe, or where it will end." --Ralph Waldo Emerson

Tuesday

I've got some explaining to do. There are a few details to resolve and then I will be back to my usual long-winded self.

Here is a quick idea about scale that has always amazed me.

1 million seconds is about 11.57 days.

1 billion seconds is a bit over 31.6 years.

And 1 trillion seconds is somewhat more than 31,688 years.

Puts a little different perspective on the whole Ethernet thing, doesn't it?

That's all for now.........

Today's Quote
