Dedication
Last Saturday, while I recreated with family and friends and generally had a great time, many UEN employees gathered to fix a big problem. A big central switch failed. Many of our services were tied to that switch.
A couple of managers got involved. Other staff were called in. A vendor showed up to help. This was entirely unplanned.
I won't speak about why the outage occurred. That's something for us to sort through in internal discussions this week. What impressed me was the dedication of these UEN employees. And the initiative. It was impressive. It makes me want to be a better director. It inspires me.
