I'm considering starting work on my wireless project in abstract terms, such as creating an abstract base class for the ui display. This would mean I won't have to buy any stuff yet. However on researching this, it looks like this type of hardware-specific project is especially the kind of thing that an abstract base class can ruin. I figure if it helps me sort out the parameters in terms of spec, then I throw it away, it will have served its purpose.
