Next on the saga of my quest for manipulating a single DNS entry to get it where I want it to go. Yes folks, I'm trying out CityDesk. Very few things I would correct so far in that product on the "ease of use" front. Although, the topic itself is power-user so you've weeded out the AOL folks already. The only way to include them would be to combine CityDesk with a hosting solution like Radio. One of those things: the CityDesk folks shouldn't have to get into this business, and things shouldn't be this hard, but them's the breaks. When I was at Real, we found ourselves in the soundcard driver business. It's just guilt by association.

Subject: dns and ftp errors

Howdy,
Thanks for your response earlier. I have two follow-up questions:
1) When I go to www.egrigg9000.com, should it state "Forbidden" / 404 file not found as of this point?
2) When I upload with my ftp client, I get the following errors. Any way to correct these from your end?

<start errors>

FTP Error Uploading index.html -- Couldn't put file: The server returned extended information

FTP Error Uploading Articles/GettingStarted.html -- Couldn't put file: The server returned extended information

FTP Error Uploading Images/MadeWithCityDesk.gif -- Couldn't put file: The server returned extended information

FTP Error Uploading citydesk.xml -- Couldn't put file: The server returned extended information

The day when I will have internet access in my home is verrry close! The cable appointment is Monday. I did a great job ordering stuff for cheap. I got an RCA Cable Modem model DCM305 normally $69 for $49 including shipping, and I got a Linksys ethernet WAP + cable/DSL router with 4-port switch (BEFW11S4) for $79, which is also the ebay price.
