I've always been a skeptical about the usefulness of Priceline (and Hotwire). But maybe I was unduly influenced by the knowledge that skepticism regarding its market valuation, during the internet bubble, was eminently justified. The few times I have tested it, for airfare, have been flops. But this article makes it sound like it has some real potential for hotel rooms.
