Okay, I sold my second item on eBay. Again, a cell phone. It was a Nokia 3588i, candy-bar style, that I hated from day one (it worked fine, I just didn't like it). I re-upped with Sprint for 2 years, and between the $150 credit, and the salvage value on eBay, was able to replace it with a Sanyo 200P, at slighly-better-than cost-neutral. Once again, I was surprised how much a buyer was wililng to pay. This outdated model, used old cell phone that I paid $100 for (I think) garnered me $45 on a Buy It Now, plus $5 shipping, before fees. Just proves my rule about electronics on eBay--prices are too high, you do almost as well buying new, with a rebate. Any slight savings is not worth the risk of buying used. So both my items have sold due to reasonable Buy It Nows. Next time I am going to skip that route, and see what happens with a pure auction. 11:25:51 PM    comment []
