What sort of an idiot runs out onto a race track where cars are travelling at 300mph? Not just a religous nut but a religous nut from Kerry. It's bad enough that Neil Horan endangered his own life but that he put at risk the lives of the drivers and staff at Silverstone not to mention the members of the public who could have been killed if a car had gone out of control is unacceptable.

Friday night saw me back in Donnybrook. Not to water the parents' plants, you understand, but to visit RTE Radio's Studio 8 for the recording of episodes three and four of Beyond the Back of Beyond, the latest production from the award-winning Roger Gregg and the Crazy Dog Audio Theatre. Roger has won several Mark Time awards for his radio productions and is best known in Irish fandom for his live broadcast from Octocon 2000.

The new series concerns the adventures of Psychic Investigator Maeve O'Casey and her sidekick Matt Griffin, "the muscle behind the mystic." The night I was there, the recorded two episodes with David Norris as the guest star. While he played different characters in both episodes they both had an interest in Georgian architecture. Both episodes were good fun with the obligatory audience participation. The final two episodes will be recorded on Saturday night, July 26. The series will be broadcast on Thursday nights on RTE Radio 1 at 8pm starting July 24 and will also be available as Real Audio Streams from the RTE Website.

When it comes to operating systems I prefer Mac over Windows and PalmOS over PocketPC (ake WinCE). The two are related. Even if PocketPC didn't suck the fact that it can't sync with Macs would rule it out for me. Up to now, Mac users who wanted to sync PocketPC to Mac had to fork out up to $70 for PocketMac. However, now a new company Mark/Space has brought out Missing Sync for use with Apple's own syncing tool iSync. Missing Sync will synchronise Address Book and iCal with the PocketPC equivalents and only costs $40.

Bear in mind, I haven't tried either but I feel I should bring them to your attention.
