I joined Its Just Lunch - a dating/matching service that will help me find hopefully someone that is like me, someone that wants a long-term relationship - you know the whole enchilada. They set up the matches, they set up the lunch date or the drinks after work date (basically they set the first date) and then call you the next day to get feedback. Sounds like a great idea right?
So far I am so frustrated with them and I paid alot of money to get matches that were right for me.
- the first match they set me up with lives in San Jose and the after work drink date was scheduled to meet in San Mateo - which is like a 3 hour drive home for me. Besides the guy is 48 years old, I think that's too old for me - he's like 12 years older than me
- second match they have for me is allergic to cats other than that he sounds great but the allergic to cats is a deal breaker for me
- third match they have for me is a retired air force guy who wants to buy a mobile home so he can travel around the world and he's 47 who likes gardening and golfing. red flags popping up in my head with this one.
Not that I've met any of these guys yet and maybe they aren't that old and maybe they got the facts wrong about the guy allergic to cats but honestly I think the coordinator at Its Just Lunch needs to look at a map when she is setting up dates. I work in San Francisco, I usually work til 10 or 11 at night, so setting up a after work drink date with someone that lives in Vacaville doesn't exactly work for me. I can leave work for a little while and go back but I'd prefer to do it in San Francisco or at least on my way home not three hours from where I live. And she needs to stop calling me at 8am in the morning
And I could have sworn I said not anyone older than 40 as my prefer date range. I know older guys like to date younger girls but I'm not one of those younger girls that wants to date old old guys.
Where is that artistic laid back non sports guy for me?
