Podcasting? Treocasting? Possibilities for Continuing Medical Education (CME) Using Smartphone Media

Here I am listening to the VoIP panel discussion hosted by Om Malik during the Web 2.0 conference. I'm using pTunes on the Treo. (Going over the Manhattan Bridge on the D train on a sunny day provided enough ambient light for this shot.)

Later this morning, I'll be attending a CME conference on Lupus. I've been thinking again about using the smartphone as a platform for CME, and as a coincidence I received the following email announcement:

Join us for our PluggedIn Expert Event! palmOne and the PluggedIn Program are pleased to announce our current PluggedIn Expert Event, running from October 8th through the 15th. During the special Q&A session, Nicolas Pabion, an accomplished palmOne software engineer, will be available to answer your questions about multimedia on palmOne devices. To submit questions to Nicolas, simply log on to PluggedIn, go to Developer Community, and click on "View Event" in the Expert Event box. You will then have the opportunity to submit your question. We look forward to your participation!
