RSS News Ticker Do you know what would make my day... if I was able to use something like Alan's RSS Feeds by JavaScript to create an 'RSS Ticker'... basically:
1. I pop in the feeds I want (so for an edutech one I might have the ones down the side of this blog (or a selection) 2. I select how many most recent items I want (probably 2 or 3... seems like that's as much as people usually post in a short period) 3. This is then fed into a new-ticker-type thing which I can grab the code for and pop on my blog / course etc. perhaps something that looks like the BBC one would be ace. 4. Visitors can click on 'titles' to open new pages of stories for them
This would be SUCH a cool way of using RSS for ad hoc access to relevant news... I'm such a technical divot though, no way on earth I'm going to make that!
A great place to start would be to have an RSS_Edu one... wouldn't it... hint hint ;o)
