Meet the Author

One of the cool things about Microsoft is that there is always something interesting to go to (the only problem is time).  Fortunately for me, a meeting was cancelled and I had a chance to go see Eric Schlosser who is the author of Fast Food Nation.  The book details how the fast food industry has created a negative impression on American's diet and the food industry.  This is one of those books that makes you decide that you would rather go home and eat cereal than pick up a crustyburger with fries.

Turns out that he has a new book called Reefer Madness: Sex, Drugs, and Cheap Labor in the American Black Market.  It discusses the underground economy of America around porn, pot and migrant workers and how it parallels what happens in the mainstream economy and how one can affect the other.  Once I am done reading it, I'll let you know what I think.
