Blog fatigue
Here's my day: Write a sentence. Read a blog. Write another sentence, read another blog. Write a whole paragraph (man that deserves a serious reward) surf for yarn on E-bay. Like I always say, whatever gets you through.
But as I jump from blog to blog, I've sensed a growing lassitude among veteran bloggers. First, the witty and cool and long-lamented Dangerous Chunky closed her doors. Then Mama Kate stopped typing only to reinvent herself as Will Knit for Food. Ivete, the god mother of the knitting blogger web ring, has been posting in fits and starts--she's been working like a mad woman--and Red Lipstick is starting to sound cranky.
For those of us who are new on the block, does it get tiresome to lug the digital camera over to the knitting basket? Does it become a burden to craft new and witty content? Does one's life get too busy and complicated to blog?
Speaking as I newbie, this is the first journal I've ever faithfully kept--and I'm a professional writer. Writing about my feelings in a velvet-bound book never cut it for me. But this, having a topic and an audience (albeit small), this rocks. Anyway, I hate to see y'all stop, 'cause I'm a fan. Plain and simple.
Audrey update: She's damp, but blocking! Pics tomorrow.
