Llamas, alpacas and yaks, oh my!
Nake-id Knits heads to the hills for the 13th Annual Estes Park Wool Market--four days of workshops, competitions, and you guessed it...shopping! (What a terrific opportunity to rid oneself of filthy lucre.)
I'll be taking Galina Khmeleva's "Warm Shawls" class, on knitting a snuggly blankie the Orenburg way. Ma mere is taking Judy Dercum's "Intarsia" class (colorwork, blech!)
For those of you within spitting distance of Estes Park, Colo., load up the car and go! The market runs Saturday and Sunday and it makes for a great day of animal petting, llama kissing, lamb eating, fiber learning and fleece buying. It's the largest show of its kind in the region. And this year, the International Yak Association is making an appearance.
We are vibrating with excitement.
