Diary of a Mad Knitter
Notes from the underground: Do you ever feel like your blog life is more real than your real life? I suspect this is more of an issue for people who work from home, where the Internet can serve as an endless source of amusement, procrastination and consumer voyeurism. Here's my typical day:
Shower. Dress. Eat. Drink coffee. Check email. Answer email. Blog. Wish for more coffee. Read a blog. Write a sentence. Read a blog. Pet the cat. Write another sentence. Check what's new on Elann. Talk on the phone. Write a paragraph. Feel really successful. Reward self with trip to Ebay. Look at yarn. Or shoes. Write another sentence. Whew. Time for lunch. Flip through knitting book. Sit back down. Check blog. Two new comments! Answer comments. Scratch head. Write another sentence. And another. Check my site meter. Make phone calls. Fight post-lunch nap urge. Make cup of green tea hoping to stave off nap. Nap anyway. Client calls waking self from dead sleep. Client wants changes. Self flips client bird. And so it goes.
Maybe I should get out more.
